What is behaviorlab.org?
This site supports academic research, not corporate marketing. Faculty at leading universities design these studies to learn more about psychology and marketing. These findings hopefully shape what we can teach our students about marketing.

Who is behaviorlab.org?
The studies on this site have been created by both psychology and marketing professors around the world. This site is developed and maintained by Joe Redden, a marketing professor. If you have any questions about the site, you can contact him at admin@behaviorlab.org.

Who can participate in an experiment?
Anyone can complete a study as long as they are (a) over 18 years of age, and (b) have a computer with internet access. Other than that, there are no restrictions.

Why should I complete an experiment?
There are at least two benefits to completing a study on this site. First, you will automatically be entered into a drawing for a prize (typically a $50 gift card). Only those people who complete the study will be entered into this random drawing. Second, you will gain some insight into what psychology and marketing research looks like. Some studies will also provide an individual assessment based on your answers (e.g., personality tests).

How long will an experiment take?
A study is typically designed to require about 5 to 10 minutes of your time. They are intended to be a quick task you can complete when you have a little free time.

Is my information confidential?
Your e-mail address will only be used to notify you of an upcoming study or a prize award. It will never be shared with anyone else. As well, the answers you give in any study are not linked to you individually for publication.
